A group of leading contemporary Malaysian artists, working in painting, sculpture and new media, comes together for the first time in Singapore for an exhibition of recent works as part of WORK, a project begun in 2009 about the events that take place in an artist’s studio and the thinking behind the artistic process. The book WORKING, published in 2010, brings together a series of artists’ interviews and self-documentation carried out dyring the project, and photographic portraits by Tara Sosrowardoyo, which form an integral part of the current exhibition.
